Optional text messages
SMS Terms & Consent
Version 0.3 · Updated October 10, 2026 · Pilot messaging only; service configuration and legal review pending
The Account page stores separate optional game and news SMS preferences. Outbound game and news SMS and Y/N replies are currently disabled; no such messages are sent by this release. Phone verification is available only when its authentication provider is configured. You can play the core game using the website without providing a phone number or enrolling in SMS.
1. Program name and purpose
The Operative Anyone Gameplay Notifications SMS program is intended for game updates and elimination confirmations when messaging is enabled. Phone verification codes are sent only when you request one through a configured authentication provider. It may send limited status or help messages in response to your SMS. No purchase or paid subscription is part of this program. News and promotional updates have their own initially unchecked consent box and are not authorized by game SMS consent. Saving preferences does not start a messaging campaign.
2. How to opt in
Sign into Account, enter your own mobile number in international format and save it. When verification is available, select Send verification code, enter the code and select Verify phone. Then actively choose each desired, initially unchecked game or news SMS consent box and save your dossier. Verification alone does not opt you in. Changing the saved phone clears both SMS preferences. The database checks the confirmed authentication phone and records consent timestamps.
Only enroll your own number or a number you are authorized to use. Enrolling is optional and is not a condition of game participation, purchase or account creation. If SMS enrollment is not visible, the program is not open to you yet. Entering a phone number somewhere else on the website does not enroll you.
3. Consent you give
By checking the optional SMS consent box and successfully verifying my mobile number, I authorize Operative Anyone to send automated, nonmarketing text messages to that number concerning verification and gameplay confirmations. Message frequency varies with game activity. Message and data rates may apply. I understand consent is not required to play the core game. I can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance and can also disable SMS in my account.
The consent box must remain separate from agreement to general platform Terms and must not be preselected. Consent is specific to this program and may be withdrawn at any time.
4. Message frequency, carrier charges and availability
Message frequency varies with participation and the number of elimination claims requiring your review. A verification attempt may produce a one-time code. Each eligible claim may produce a confirmation request and related reply or status message. There is no fixed monthly message maximum configured in the current pilot. When you play multiple games, the system allows only one active confirmation request per verified phone number at a time; others are queued or become ineligible. Message and data rates may apply under your wireless plan. Operative Anyone does not charge a separate fee for SMS enrollment. Carrier delivery, message timing and availability are not guaranteed. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
5. Replying Y or N
This is a planned workflow, currently unavailable. When an eligible elimination claim reaches you, a Operative Anyone text identifies the operation and reporting player's codename and asks you to reply within the active window. Reply Y to confirm the reported elimination or N to dispute it. These replies can be sent from the verified phone without signing into the website. The planned pilot uses a window of up to 10 minutes after the message is accepted by the messaging provider, subject to the underlying claim's expiration. A late, duplicate or unrelated reply must not confirm an elimination. A disputed, expired or unanswered claim does not itself eliminate a player. For detailed status, use your authenticated Field Briefing.
6. Examples of program messages
These are planned examples, not a guarantee that every SMS will be delivered or have identical wording:
Operative Anyone - [Operation Name]: [Hunter Codename] reported eliminating you. Reply Y to confirm or N to dispute within 10 minutes. STOP opts out.
Operative Anyone: Elimination confirmed.
Operative Anyone: Dispute recorded. You remain active.
Operative Anyone: SMS notifications stopped. Both SMS channels are blocked. Contact your testing support channel to discuss restoring messaging.
Phone-verification codes may use the messaging provider's own approved template. A message asking for a gameplay response is not an emergency or safety notification.
7. STOP, HELP and account controls
Reply STOP to the Operative Anyone texting number at any time to revoke SMS consent and stop future program texts, subject to a legally permitted final confirmation. You can also uncheck either SMS channel in Account and save while signed in. Reply HELP for automated program instructions. The HELP reply points to account preferences and the field manual; a separate human support contact must be published and verified before the campaign is approved for wider use. General game guidance is available at Help & FAQ.
STOP blocks both game and news SMS. The profile cannot remove this block; contact your privately supplied testing support channel to discuss restoration. Simply texting Y, N or START does not restart messaging. Carrier-level STOP blocking may persist until the carrier/provider permits re-enrollment. Email and in-app functionality are separate from SMS preferences.
8. Privacy and number protection
Enrollment may record the verified phone number, consent and verification timestamps, opt-out status, message/session identifiers, incoming response text and delivery activity. Operative Anyone uses these details for the requested game communications, dispute processing, duplicate suppression, security and honoring opt-outs. We do not sell or share your mobile number, SMS opt-in records or consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Messaging providers and carriers may process the information needed to transmit texts. Read our Privacy Policy for more detail and retention limitations.
9. Safety, eligibility and limits
This SMS program is only for registered adults aged 18 or older. A text notification or confirmation is not permission to approach, follow or contact anyone outside agreed safe-play rules. Do not use text messages to threaten, harass or expose another person's private information. Stop gameplay immediately if unsafe. For emergencies contact local emergency services, not the SMS program. Review the Terms of Service and safety rules.
10. Support and legal status
Program-specific support contact information and the operator's final legal identity are pending publication. They must be confirmed before US messaging registration and unrestricted sending. Until then, enrolled pilot testers should use their privately supplied testing-support channel for a human response; HELP provides only automated instructions. Material changes to SMS purpose or disclosures may require new consent. This policy is not a substitute for proper carrier registration, applicable consent records or working opt-out mechanisms.
